Working in collaboration with The Rested Ghoul, the North East's first ever horror themed cafe, the Meian Maid's Dark Side are taking over for a very special event. For those brave enough - make sure you book your entry tickets for each slot in advance as there are a limited number available!

Featuring two extra frightening slots, we're excited to welcome you home with twisted Dark Side personalities and a Birthday Celebration of our very own Necromancer Maid, Maid Tomoe!

Please read the important information for this event very carefully as there are a couple of new additions!

At this event:  

☆ We have two event slots!

☆ Slot 1: Tomoe's Birthday - Our favourite Necromancer, Maid Tomoe is celebrating her birthday! Will we see some ghastly ghouls?

☆ Slot 2: Dark Side Takeover - Wear your favourite creepy cute outfit and enjoy our spooky theme where all our Maids - even the Light Side ones, are rocking wonderfully Dark Side personalities!

✭If you would like to spend more time with us, you are welcome to book both slots for this event. 

✭ Please note, for this event there is a minimum order per slot of 1 Drink and 1 Food Item. Of course, you can order as much tasty food and drink as you like throughout the slot!

✭You may be seated on the same table as other guests, or your selected seat may be changed to accomodate different needs. 

✭Please note you will need to present your ticket at the door as we will be scanning ticket barcodes so please bring a digital or printed version!  

✭Please let us know at the door how you wish to be addressed and if you have any special requirements such as time restrictions, special occasions or dietary requirements/allergies.  

✭You must arrive for your slot on time, otherwise we may need to give up your reserved seat to another customer. If you inform us you will be late, we will do our best to accomodate. If you arrive more than 15mins late to the slot start time and you haven't informed us, we will not be able to serve you and your ticket price cannot be refunded.

The charity for this event is Happier Days for Strays, a Sunderland based charity that looks after stray dogs that need care and supports re-homing them.

Meian Maid Cafe is an event based pop-up cafe!   めいあん or 'Meian' means light and shade in Japanese. And this is the idea of our cafe - magical girls showing the two sides of cute! Our Light side maids can be recognized by their pink uniforms and bubbly personalities with the Dark side maids showing the cool side of cute in black uniforms. Although both sides differ, our main goal is to spread moe across earth! Light and the Dark together in one kawaii package!   Our lovely maids wear uniforms inspired by those in Akihabara, Japan's Anime & Manga district. We aim to provide a service in which you feel completely at home - relaxed, entertained and full of yummy food! Taking a customer's order is not enough - we entertain customers with dancing, magic spells & even playing games together!
